The SHABAB-AMMAN Information Technology Department arranges for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, programming, and operation of data processing and data communications systems and equipment. Information Technology is one of the largest departments in SHABAB-AMMAN. Information Technology coordinates the planning of information systems for SHABAB-AMMAN departments and provides data processing services for such applications and divisions. Administrative Support Team all organizations need timely and effective office and administrative support to operate efficiently. Our Information Technology Administrative Support Team coordinates this much needed collaboration effort. Core Competency Center The Core Competency Center (CCC) serves as the interface between SHABAB-AMMAN and SAP. Standard functions of the CCC include the Support Desk, Business Support/Development Requests, Technical Support, Contract Management, Report Planning, and Training. The IT Help Desk (extension 3507) is the access point for contacting the CCC. The CCC enjoys a variety of knowledge transfer opportunities through various case studies, experience reports, special topic discussions, workshops and user group conferences/forums. Customer Support and Services SHABAB-AMMAN has made significant investments in new technology since 2003 based on rapid serviceability and growth; we are rated the fourth-fastest growing counrty in the Middle East. With this growth come new challenges. The cornerstone for delivering these new services requires improving the quaility of support while enhancing the technical skills of our employees. The Customer Support and Services division was formed to ensure that SHABAB-AMMAN offers optimum tools, training, technical support, and personalized services to meet the needs of our citizens. Operations and Support Establishes systems, processes, procedures, and tools to administer and manage IT infrastructure according to industry standards and best practices and well defined, documented, and usable Service Desk, incident and problem management processes and procedures. Project Management Office (PMO) The PMO Vision is to become a pivotal force provisioning SHABAB-AMMAN with information solutions that provide quality services to its citizens. The PMO Mission is to Provide S SHABAB-AMMAN departments with cost effective information solutions through exceptional project management capabilities and services. Security Team The Internet has brought unprecedented access to information, bombarded us with trivia and opened up unparalleled business opportunities. At the same time it has provided a feeding ground for those intent on creating disruption and chaos through the development of computer viruses that invade our desktops and by launching all out denial of service (DoS) attacks on corporate websites. Our Security Team is our first line of defense. Strategic Planning and Development SHABAB-AMMAN will, in the coming years, be confronted with a number of challenges. The county’s citizens are growing more technically sophisticated, and are becoming more demanding about the convenience of the services they receive from their government. At the same time, SHABAB-AMMAN will face continuing pressure to deliver these services at lower cost. These challenges all point to a growing use of information technologies to provide greater access to services, increase the quality of services, and improve the cost-effectiveness of those services. The Strategic Planning and Development division is at the forefront in overcoming these challenges.
